If you've seen one of our shows, you'll know we're always looking for ways to make things a little more unexpected.
So, when we started talking about celebrating our biggest Edinburgh Fringe season yet, one idea kept coming back...
Let's make a beer!
Not just any beer, either. We wanted something that captured the energy of summer, the madness of the Fringe, and the feeling of walking into an Insane Magic show, where anything can happen. The result is Razzle Dazzle – a limited-edition sour brewed with our friends at Vault City.
Loaded with juicy raspberry, zesty lime and finished with a magical shimmer, it's bold, refreshing and just a little bit ridiculous... which feels pretty on brand for us.
Magic, Friends & Great Beer
This collaboration wasn't something that happened overnight.
Long before Insane Magic was selling out theatres and taking over the Edinburgh Fringe, we've been long time friends of Jonah, now Lead Brewer at Vault City. Back then, we were all part of Scotland's close-knit magic community, spending weekends performing, learning new tricks and drinking pints together!
Over the years, our careers headed in different directions. Jonah discovered his passion for brewing, while we continued building Insane Magic into the show it is today.
But great friendships have a funny way of coming full circle.
When the conversation turned to creating something special for our biggest Fringe run yet, teaming up with Vault City felt like the perfect fit.

Brewing a Beer with a Bit of Showmanship
We knew exactly what we wanted.
Something bright, refreshing and packed with flavour. A beer that people could enjoy after a Fringe show, in a beer garden with friends or while soaking up everything Edinburgh has to offer in August.
Razzle Dazzle delivers all of that with vibrant raspberry, zingy lime and a crisp, refreshing finish. It's approachable, full of character and, most importantly, a beer we'd genuinely want to drink ourselves.
Then we asked the obvious question...

Every Good Trick Needs a Surprise
Magic is all about creating moments people don't expect.
That's why Razzle Dazzle includes plant-based edible glitter. Give the can a gentle swirl before pouring and watch it come alive with a shimmering sparkle that dances through the glass.
It's fun, eye-catching and guaranteed to start conversations - exactly the kind of theatrical flourish we couldn't resist adding.

The beer has been brewed to celebrate our biggest Edinburgh Fringe season to date, and once it's gone, it's gone.
